Set up re:praesent in one conversation, or one form

Setting up re:praesent takes about eight minutes and starts with your website, not with a questionnaire. re:praesent reads your public pages and fills in your address, phone, opening hours and what you offer; you correct what is wrong and choose who handles inquiries. You can do that in a short conversation with an assistant or in a form, and switch between the two at any point.

Why most setups never finish

A new tool usually opens with twenty empty fields. The owner starts on a Tuesday evening, gets to the question about the domain registrar, and closes the laptop. The account stays half done for months.

Most of those fields are things the business already has written down somewhere: on the website, in the legal notice, on Google. Asking for them again is where people stop.

What you see first

Before a single field, the offer is shown in full, so you know what you are starting: the first months free, nothing to pay today and no card needed, no hidden costs, no cost per team member, cancel at any time.

Then one question: your website address. re:praesent reads your public pages. That takes about half a minute, and you watch it find things:

  • Your address
  • Your phone and email
  • Your opening hours
  • Your legal details, used later for the invoice
  • What you offer, and the brands you carry
  • The system your site runs on

The next screen says what it found and asks one thing: anything to fix? Fields filled in for you are marked with where they came from, your website, Google or Facebook, so you can trust or correct each one.

A conversation or a form, your choice

The remaining questions are the ones that change how your account works: what you want help with, how you talk to customers, who handles inquiries, whether you want a short email summary. Nothing else.

You can answer them in a form, in five short chapters: Business, Presence, Goals, Team, Plan. Or in a conversation with an assistant that asks the same questions in plain words. The assistant comes in three ways of explaining, and you pick the one that suits you:

  • “I’m at home with tech”: uses the technical terms without explaining them
  • “Someone helps me with the technical side”: offers once to invite your web person
  • “Keep it simple, please”: everyday words, short sentences, and “not sure” is a fine answer

You can switch between the three, or between the conversation and the form, at any point. Your answers stay. A question you leave empty is not asked again.

What happens at the end

You land on a welcome screen with your business name and two or three personal next steps, not on every feature at once.

Before anything is billed, a real person from re:praesent calls you. You can pick a time for a 30-minute intro call right there, or we write to you within one business day.

What it does not do: it does not build your website on its own. The website is built or moved by us, with you, after the call.

What it costs

Setup is part of re:praesent, which costs €300 a year or €30 a month with everything included. The first months are free and there is nothing to pay on the day you set up. The pricing page has the details.

Questions

How long does setup take?

About eight minutes for the questions. Your progress is saved as you go, so you can stop and come back.

Do I need my website address to start?

No. Without a website re:praesent asks the few questions it cannot look up, and the rest stays short.

Can I switch from the conversation to the form?

Yes, at any point, and back again. Nothing you answered is lost.

Is the conversation a real person?

No. It is an assistant that asks the setup questions. A real person calls you afterwards, before anything is billed.

What if I give a wrong answer?

You can change every answer later in Settings under Your business.
