Use re:praesent in English, German, French or Dutch

re:praesent settings with the language switch: English, German, French and Dutch.

The re:praesent app works in four languages: English, German, French and Dutch. Each person picks their own language, the app remembers it, and nobody needs a second account or has to log in again. It matters when the owner, the staff and the seasonal help do not all read the same language comfortably.

When the screen is in the wrong language, people stop using it

Picture a kitchen studio near a border. The owner thinks in German. The colleague at the front desk grew up speaking French. In summer a student helps out and prefers English.

If the customer list is only in one of those languages, two of the three people work more slowly. They guess at a button. They ask a colleague. After a while they go back to paper, and the inquiry that came in on Tuesday is not written down anywhere.

We saw the same thing with our own customers. Asking everyone to work in one language slowed people down and produced support questions that had nothing to do with the work itself.

What you get

Since July 2026 every person can work in the language they read best.

  • Four languages: English, German, French and Dutch.
  • One switch at the top of the app. On a phone it sits in the menu under Language.
  • No second account and no new login. You change the language and carry on.
  • The choice is remembered for each person, so the owner can work in German while a colleague works in French.

The words follow the product’s own plain vocabulary in every language. An inquiry is an inquiry, a deal is a deal, and the day starts on the Today page whichever language you choose.

How it works day to day

Nothing about your customers changes when someone switches language. The same inquiries, people, deals and tasks are there. Only the labels, buttons and help texts change.

That means two colleagues can look at the same deal at the same time, each in their own language, and talk about it without confusion over which screen they mean.

Your public website can speak several languages as well. That is a separate job, done by our translation tool, re:translate. It keeps the pages your customers read in step with the original text. You can read about it in the post on website translation.

What it does not do

The language switch changes the app, not what you typed into it. A note your colleague wrote in French stays in French. A customer’s message stays in the language the customer used.

Support is a separate matter too. The app has four languages. Our support team answers by email, phone or video call in English, German or French.

What it costs

Nothing extra. It is part of the re:praesent package: €300 a year or €30 a month, everything included, with no fee per user. The full list is on the pricing page.

If you would like to see it in your own language first, ask us for a short call.

English, German, French and Dutch.

Does everyone on the team have to use the same language?

Do I need a second account to change language?

No. You switch at the top of the app, or in the menu on a phone, and stay logged in.

Will my customers’ messages be translated?

No. The switch changes the app’s own labels and buttons. What customers and colleagues wrote stays as they wrote it.
